Strategic Perception was engaged by Liverpool Plains Shire Council to assist with the finalisation of their Growth Management and Housing Strategy. We collaborated closely with Councillors and staff to create a vision for the growth of the Shire, clear directions to follow to achieve that vision, and a set of clear objectives to accomplish in the short to medium term.
Strategic Perception was engaged by Burwood Council for nine months to provide strategic planning expertise and project management services. As part of this engagement we supported the Burwood North Masterplan, managed the Croydon TOD Masterplan, comprehensively reviewed the Local Infrastructure Contributions Plan and updated the Planning Agreements Policy.
Strategic Perception was engaged by Wingecarribee Shire Council in 2025 to review their 17 Development Control Plans and consolidate them into a single, contemporary DCP that would assist to speed up assessment times.
Strategic Perception partnered with Morrison Low in 2024 to undertake a service delivery and process review for Councils Development Assessment Service. We provided 12 clear and practical recommendations for improving service levels and allocating resources appropriately across four focus areas. The outcomes of the project were a halving of development assessment timeframes from 150 days to 70 days.
Strategic Perception was engaged by DPLH in Western Australia to help the state Planning Department consider the role of evolving planning technology in assisting the development assessment process in WA. The project focussed on defining the problem that technology could assist in solving in order to ensure future scenarios involving advanced technology supported development assessment both across the state and at the local level.
Strategic Perception was engaged by the City of Greater Geraldton in May 2024 to provide support services for development assessment. Over 18 months we assisted with the assessment of 70 development applications for the City. We achieved a high rate of approval and all applications were resolved within one request for information from the customer.
